Even us humans have the genes for making tails. Chickens have the genes for making teeth. You say we have no proof, yet whales have the genes for making legs.

If they did not exist 20,000 years ago where did they come from. But we know they currently exist, so where did dogs come from? Think about it. See, dogs did not exist thousands of years ago no puddles, beatles, pugs, etc. Where do dogs come from? I think if someone is trying to begin to conceptualize evolution one should attempt to understand the origin of our beloved household pet the domestic dog.
